Hechu shengsheng bugu ti, Gangshan shanbei Liulin si

Datanpi is located at Songjiao Village and was known as Biyitan or Bai-yitan. The area was already settled during the reign of Prince Jheng of the Ming Dynasty, making it the earliest settled region of Guanmiao.
During Cing rule, Datanpi was listed as one of the 8 unique landscapes of Taiwan. The picturesque landscape of paddy fields in springtime has led to the famous accolade of Siangyang Chunnuo (spring mantle of paddy fields).
When the Nationalist Government relocated itself to Taiwan in 1949, Datanpi was acquired as a military cemetery. This cemetery was later moved elsewhere in response to public demands. In 1999, the land was reconstructed as Wanglai Park and slowly restored to its original pictur-esque appearance.
A stone-carved pineapple was erected at the gateway of the Park. A children's playground, recreational facilities, and croquet grounds were also established. The Park surrounds the serene waters of Dabitan Lake to provide a most alluring landscape.
Construction for the Datanpi Wanglai Park theme-based entranceway as well as lakeside footpaths and gazebos at Nantan and Beitan areas have been completed. Water parks, children's playground, barbecue ar-ea, and drainage systems have been re-planned and arranged. Com-prehensive amenities have been provided, with 3 gazebos established at both Nantan and Beitan respectively. Landscaping and night-time lighting have been provided to enhance the beauty of the entire Park.

Datanpi Water Park has been designed with innovative Jacuzzis and large wading pools.
The Water Park is perfect for children. Parents are welcome to bring their kids along for a fun experience.
