Cianfoshan Puti Si (Temple of Bodhi at the Mountain of a Thousand Buddhas)

* Cianfoshan Puti Si (Temple of Bodhi at Cianfo Mountain) is located behind Wanglai Park and is decorated with red tiles and green walls.
With over 30 years of history, Puti Si is situated right next to Datanbi and close to scenic mountains and rivers, and serves as one of the holy sites of Guanmiao District. Visitors could see the 28 meter tall statue of the Śākyamuni Buddha designed by Zen master Baiyun. The statue is em-bedded with 999 Buddhist images, which, together with the host statue, literally lives up to the namesake of Cianfo Shan (Thousand Buddha Mountain). The other unique architecture on the temple premise is a worship tower designed according to Burmese Buddhist stupas.
＊The great Buddha statue in the Temple measures 28 meters tall and was designed by Zen Master Baiyun. Since its completion in 1987, the statue was repaired using temple donations. A hidden altar containing 999 Buddhist figures was placed within the statue, leading to the name of Cianfo Shan.
* Temple architecture was meticulously designed, with a koi pond and Chinese courtyard architecture. The Diamond Sutra Tower, however, was designed according to Burmese Buddhist stupas, creating an inter-esting mix of two religious architectural styles.
* The tower is furnished with bronze inscriptions of the Vajracchedikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra (Diamond Sutra) as well as the Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya (the Heart Sutra). The sutras are inscribed upon the hexagonal walls to add to its majestic architecture.
